The History of the Festival at Mt Si

It’s been referred to as several different names over the years, but no matter what you call it, North Bend, Washington’s annual summer festival has been a Snoqualmie Valley tradition since 1947.

We will be celebrating our 77th annual festival in 2024, only excluding 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the years, our beloved festival has been known by the following names:

  • Snoqualmie Valley Jamboree Days: 1947-1968
  • River Festival: 1969-1973
  • Alpine Days: 1974-1994
  • Festival at Mt. St: 1995-Present

The North Bend Educational and Cultural Association was formed in 1999 and has successfully taken over the planning and logistics for the Festival ever since.

The Festival at Mt. Si boasts over 25,000+ visitors each year and is community-funded and staffed by volunteers. This festival is a cherished summertime tradition by many in the Snoqualmie Valley and surrounding areas. It takes everyone pitching in to keep it going . . . we can only continue with your support!
